William Essu was a Ghanaian professional football player who played for Legon Cities before his demise on Saturday, June 15, 2024.Â

Born with the legal name William Emmanuel Essu on May 9, 2002 at Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana, Essu developed the love for football at a very younger age.

He transitioned from becoming a top defensive midfielder to a shot stopper at the professional level of his career.

As a goalkeeper, Essu as known for his top class saves and line command.

Even though little is known about his educational background, William Esu was very fluent in English Language and was yearning to play in Europe top leagues before his untimely demise.

William Essu Football Career, Transfers, and Net Worth

William Essu’s highest market value was around €50k as of Feb 17, 2022. He started his professional career with Vision FC in the 2021/22 season.

 

He then joined Legon Cities on loan fee of €25,000 during the 2022/23 league season. After serving his loan term, Essu returned to Vision Fc on June 30, 2023 on a €50,000 market price.

He died without a team after his contract with Vision Fc expired on July 1, 2023.

National Assignments

Emmanuel Essu made his national debut with the Ghana U-23 men national team on June 12, 2022.

He was also among the U20 squad in 2021.

William Essu Caused of Death

The cause of William Essu’s death has not been yet made known to the public. Doctors are yet to publish the postmortem results of William Essu.

During his days of illness and having underwent series of extensive test, doctors were unable to identified the cause of his illness.
